Help for Teens with ADD and ADHD
ADD / ADHD
Diamond Ranch Academy utilizes a variety of strategies in assisting students that struggle with ADD/ADHD. The following have proven effective for DRA in creating an environment that empowers students in overcoming ADD/ADHD challenges.
- Small Class Sizes - Average class size is 12 – 14 students.
- Token Economy - Creates a highly structured environment where students are held accountable hourly for productive behavior.
- Self-Paced Curriculum - Students are enabled to accelerate their academic progress rather than being bored waiting for other students to catch up.
- Earn As You Learn - As students earn academic credit they are awarded an increase in pay as related to DRA’s token economy.
- Professional Support Team - Teachers, Therapists, and DRA’s Registered Nurse make up a small part of the professional team that is dedicated to the success of every individual at DRA.
