Special Education

Students that have been classified with a specific learning disability or diagnosed with ADD/ADHD benefit from the academic structure at Diamond Ranch Academy. Small class sizes and utilization of a token economy allows DRA to consistently hold students accountable and encourage them to make choices that will enhance their educational development.

A certified Special Education Instructor leads a team of qualified teachers in meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities. Individual Education Plans (IEP) and/or Services Plans are maintained and developed as needed. Students that qualify may be eligible for alternative placement funds from their home school district. Qualification for these funds are awarded if the home District deems that a student’s IEP could be better served if placed in an alternative academic environment.
